I haven't seen anything in Oppo about this today so I may as well say something here. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , the young Austin-based motorsports photographer and videographer whose work we shared on occasion and tried-and-true car guy, died last night, according to his Facebook page and emails we were sent.
I can't say I knew Ash well, but I met him on at least one occasion at a Jalopnik meetup in Austin and we were friends on Facebook. We bonded over his tuned WRX STI hatch and I wrote a few stories based on photos and videos he sent us. I'm grateful for his contributions. He was an extremely talented photog and seemed like an incredibly nice guy.
I do not know the circumstances behind his passing, but I just wanted to pass this on in case any Texas Jalops knew him. Our deepest condolences to his many friends and family.

I didn't have the pleasure of ever meeting Ash, but I followed him on Facebook. I enjoyed his work and am truly saddened to hear of his passing. Certainly much too soon.
RIP, Ash.

This is just so unfortunate. A coworker my age recently just passed away unexpectedly.
Any news on what happened?

The Texas Impreza forum has a post about it , as well as a link to the video he posted to his YouTube channel the day that he died. Absolutely tragic.

That's really too bad. I didn't know him, but he was definitely a respected commenter around here, and a hell of a photographer.
All the best to his family.

He was an ever-present fixture at bigger events, meet-ups and in the Subaru/rallycross scene.
RIP, friend. We lost a real talent today.
